Description
This Pentek C2 carbon-impregnated cellulose filter cartridge reduces fine sediment and chlorine taste and odor in residential drinking water. It has a nominal filtration rating of five microns at an efficiency of 85 percent. The filter will reduce free available chlorine (FAC) at two parts per million (ppm) by at least 75 percent in up to 1,250 gallons at a flow rate of 0.5 gallons per minute (GPM). The cartridge is made of cellulose media that has been impregnated with powdered activated carbon (PAC), with a polyester backing and external polyethylene netting for strength. It has an initial pressure drop of one pound per square inch (PSI) at a flow rate of five gallons per minute (GPM) and operates over a temperature range of 40 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit. This filter cartridge is for use in residential drinking water purification.
